How to Install & Activate Microsoft Office (Step-by-Step)

Follow the instructions below to activate and install Microsoft Office on your Windows PC.

Step 1 – Sign in to Your Microsoft Account

Go to the Microsoft sign-in page and log in with the Microsoft account where you want to activate Office.

Tip: Use the same account later when installing and opening Office apps.

Step 2 – Enter Your Product Key

After signing in, enter the 25-character Office product key you received and click Next.

Once confirmed, the license will be linked to your Microsoft account.

Step 3 – Find Your Product in Services & Subscriptions

After the product key is redeemed, open your Microsoft account page and go to Services & subscriptions.

You will see your activated Office product listed there.

Step 4 – Download the Office Installer

Go to the Office Home & Bussiness 2024 and click Install.

Click Install next to your Office product.

Step 5 – Save the Installation File

Choose where to save the installer on your PC (Desktop recommended) and click Save.

Step 6 – Run the Installer

Locate the downloaded installation file and double-click it to start the installation.

Step 7 – Allow Changes

If Windows shows a security prompt, click Yes to allow Office to make changes to your device.

Step 8 – Wait for Installation to Complete

Please wait until the installation finishes. This may take a few minutes.

Step 9 – Finish Installation

When you see Getting Office ready for you, the setup is almost complete.

Once finished, click Close.
